I played MGS and this sequel and I think both are VERY overrated. I buy games because they are a unique form of INTERACTIVE entertainment. MGS & MGS2 are just movies with about 7-10 hours of gameplay. I think that MGS2 is so lame because it never lets you play the game. I don't understand why this game gets such rave reviews. Sure the plot is interesting, but if I wanted only plot then I would read the many books out there that are more entertaining. In short, I expected a lot more with all the hype this game generated. I don't understand why they spend all their time programming cinematics instead of letting the gamer play in interesting situations like the sniper part. I hope that Perfect Dark 2 is in 3rd person, so Rare will show Konami what it is like to let us play in a great sneaking spy game rather than watch one.
