This game is without a doubt the best fighting game in exsistance! It is so good that it actually converted me! I've been so pro-Tekken my entire gaming career, that I almost felt quilty when I bought this. But now I see the error of my ways. Sega's Virtua Fighter has so much to offer and keeps me entertained for hours every day.
The graphics in VF4 aren't perfect, but the incredible detail that is put into the characters is certainly commendable. And the levels that you play on are vast and beautiful. Definitely contains some of the best graphics I've seen in a fighter.
The sound and music are just as any fighting game sound and music should be. It's good, and completely fitting.
VF4's best feature is its outstanding gameplay. With three different main modes to be using(the classic Arcade, Vs., and my favorite mode:Kumite), you'll rarely be bored. Arcade: It's pretty simple until you get to the Final Stage and have to fight Akira. He puts up a pretty vicious fight, and if you're like me it'll take you multiple fights to beat him. Then comes Dural and to me she's completely impossible to beat, I CAN'T DO IT!!!
Vs.: Basic one on one fight between you and a friend(or enemy). It allows you to control multiple features of the fight such as the location, time, health level etc. This is surely a great mode that you'll all love(unless you're weird).
Kumite: This mode is where I love to put my AI that I trained into the ring to fight with all the other interestingly named computer players. I don't like fighting through it by myself as much as sending in my AI and training him as he fights along his way to the highest ranking possible. I feel a sense of pride as he sends other fighters with higher rankings packing. I truly love this mode of gameplay.
This game is my favorite fighter I've ever played and will most likely remain that way for a long time. I think everyone needs to at least play this game once to give it a try. So go get it NOW, you can thank me later.
