I hadn't played a golf game from EA Sports since all the way back to PGA Tour Golf 93. My latest golf craze was Hot Shots Golf 3. While that is an excellent game in its own right, Tiger Woods blows it out of the water.
Graphics (9) The graphics for the game are exceptional, with some great environmental variety from course to course (there's a great selection of courses here, 13 in all).
Gameplay (10) Best golf gameplay I've ever seen. The swing feels natural and is very intuitive, all the information is right at your fingertips, and everything about the game just feels RIGHT.
Sound (8) The rock music in menus and minigames seems a little obtrusive, but overall the sounds are spot-on.
Replay (10) With more than 10 modes of play (including multiplayer and minigames), 13 large varied courses, a whole bunch of unlockable characters, a great career/stat-building system, and the difficult (sometimes too difficult) Tiger Challenge mode, and this game could keep you entertained for months.
Overall (10) This is by far the best golf game I've ever played. If you have any interest in this game, then you owe it to yourself to buy Tiger Woods 2003.
