THE ultimate in strategy/rpg hybrids.  Dareisay this game exceeds over Xcom? Yes it does.  The personalities of the mercs make this game fun.  The battle from sector to sector with added npc ala a crpg make it openended.  Tactical combat that beats even straight turn based tactical games (ala 101st airborne) makes it even better! 
 
The addition of a laptop GUI is also worthy of note...funny as well!
