First great crpg that essentially used an RTS engine (Rage of Mages precedes by a couple months).  Nice storyline that unfolds as you play, somewhat non linear in the earlier chapters, and colorful NPC's.  First crpg to give the REAL DnD fans a true representation of DnD (2ed).
