Baldur's gate. The RPG that turned into one of the most well-known and albeit profitable franchises in the history of gaming. A well scripted story set in the Forgotten Realms universe. The story will draw you in but you should be warned, you must have a affection for RPGs. Because other than the dialogue BG can become tiresome to play. I personally need visual greatness to engage me in a game that's long. The 2d atmosphere just doesn't cut it. Although I would be the minority here. You would ask the question would BG have been as successful if it's system requirements had been high? As of this date NeverWinter Nights is being completed, But it probably would not have happend had BG not been as successful, so I am glad it was. If you are more into 3d, I suggest you wait for that to come out before buying this.
