I am not a hardcore racing sim and I logged over 50 hours into this game and got up to the gold license.
That should tell you something, in fact this is the only racing game I own.
It was very addicting to win certain races, but in all honesty, the game does allow you to cheat in many ways.
For instance the endurance race where you can race a high powered car and go out and do something while the 1100 HP car just rubs against the wall, never pits in and wins a race.
After you win an F1 car you can race that car in many of the pro races.
I found that to be an odd balance, I mean in one race I am smoking the competition with a cheap F1 car yet in another race I have to do 2 hours with a off the shelf non modified clunker?
Forcing you to race non modified cars for more than 20 minutes IMO is just too realistic.
How many laps can you do in a car going 80MPH with the tires balding? Talk about boring.
There is also a steep drop off curve. Early in the game you have no money for a long long time and must race some car that you probably dont like
I had to use the Trueno for a while, I restarted after using the PT cruiser first, which I hated even more.
Even with all these harsh criticisms I still played this game to death. I havent touched it in months, simply because I have cleared every race that I was interested in.
There are still a few endurance races I havent done yet and I have no intention of ever getting 100% but it was great while it lasted
