Wow what a slick looking game. Not a single flaw in graphics anywhere. Sure the camera is locked, but in a classic isometric PC style RPG way
Great use of D&D style rules to add depth to what is essentially a dungeon hack
Average completion time is ~ 14 hours, and quite honestly it will leave you wanting more.
Luckily there are 3 characters to play as and each has their own unique style and graphics.
Unlock a new mode after beating , complete the new mode and unlock a special bonus character. Unfortunately the bonus character is a "paper doll" and you cant change the armour/weapons and there are no FMV scenes with the bonus character in it. No matter, if you have already beaten the game 2X to unlock him, you have seen them enough.
Music is in the background and well placed. there is a good variety of enemies but some sections of the game require a little too much "potion chugging" for my tastes. THere are plenty of potions around so it isnt much of a problem, but it seems that these sections are unbalanced.
I had far more fun in the areas where you could fight off enemies with skill and tactics, not where you simply mash the health potion buttons and hope you make it.
A couple of jumping "puzzles" that really challenge timing more than the brain.
Excellent animations and voice acting during cutscenes, best BREASTS ever in a videogame that is for sure.
Both the barmaid and dark elf chick have smoking bodies and jiggle in all the right places.
WARNING THIS IS NOT A FULL BLOWN RPG!
If you are looking for a 40 hour quest and 3 party members, BGDA is not your game. This is a pure action RPG, the story is completely linear, and there are not a whole lot of secrets or any side quests to speak of.
But for an action RPG< this is the best you have availible on the PS2/XBOX/GC systems.
Boss battles can be a little on the easy side, IMO the hardest boss in the game is the head thief, every boss after that is easily defeated if you pay attention.

Ending is a semi cliffhanger
