after some serious time playing it is easy to exploit both the in game AI as well as the franchise AI.
You can basically hand pick any player you wish as the CPU ignores age and contract when doing trades.
I didnt exploit it too much but I was never a big kenny anderson fan so I trade the 32 year old 6'1" oft injured over paid KA to the bulls for 6'6" Jamal Anderson who is much younger, and much better upside.
Now Jamal is only rated a 69 and Kenny was a 72 at the time of the trade, but in reality the bulls would NEVER take KA, not many teams would.
a forgivable flaw, but something that is hard to overlook when doing trades. It is more fun in Maddens when the CPU rejects your bogus trades because of either salary or the player is simply washed up
I am currently playing on the highest difficulty setting and still unable the lose.
Odd because the CPU often jumps out to a quick start, especially when he is at home, but he almost never leads at the half and the CPU seems to fall apart during the 4th quarter.
I can be down by 5 in the 1st quarter, but I know that eventually I will win by at least 10, simply because in the 4th Q the CPU will not go to its go to guys, instead he will hoist up 3 pointers and not double team my hot hand.
again minor flaws in a great game but flaws nonetheless.
The flat textures on the graphics tend to wear on the eyes the more you play other, better looking games.
Really looking forward to 2K3 to see improved graphics and smarter AI
best basketball game out right now
The CPU and AI tend to cheat (way too many jumping steals, and unstopable shooting guards) but the rebounding and fast break seem pretty realistic.
Icon passing is set up poorly, triangle button then press another button is bad news
Icon passing should be a shoulder button combined with a face button
