I must compare this to the original. While it looks less like it is on rails thanks to open design of the backgrounds, most of those areas are actually blocked off, so the feeling of being on rails is still
Something about the mission design of this one seems less convincing than the first.
Basically the same review as the first game, only with less innovation and less atmosphere.
Maybe it is something about playing as a french resitance fighter sneaking around unconvincing towns. The first one seemed more about running around nazi tunnels, or roads picking off snipers from a distance.
For instance in the very eary stages of Underground you are fighting off tanks in the city streets. Seems a little ambitious to me, and not very convincing.
A resistance fighter would be running from tanks in a real war.
Stick with the original or wait for the PS2/XBOX versions
