Phantasy Star Online can be summed up in these words... you will not find another enjoyable gaming experience on the Dreamcast. This is, of course, if you play it online.
You will find yourself taken by the colorful, vast worlds of the game. The graphics are some of the best seen on the DC. The controls are easy to handle although you will find trouble switching weapons on the fly. You will also be treated to an orchestrated music score.
Playing through the single player mode can be somewhat fun and challenging, but this is not where the meat of the game is. Once you hop online, it's a whole new world. Playing with other gamers from around the world while chatting, trading items, and fighting together on teams puts this game into orbit. The online gaming alone, deserves a perfect 10, although you may run into occasional slow down.
You have it all in this game... customizable chracters, awesome weapons, great action, and even side quests. To get the most out of this game, play it online. Warning: you will get hooked playing PSO, online. PSO will go down as one of the greatest online RPGs ever.
