I can't say enough about this game. It has simple yet addictive gameplay to go along with some of the most gorgeous, stylish graphics ever seen in a game on any system. It also has a very emotional, compelling story. It also manages to get you drawn into the story without having to stop the game for cutscenes very often. The bottom line is, by the end of the game (which arrives far too soon) you really care about your characters. Nobody with a PS2 should miss this game, especially now that it can be found anywhere at a very affordable price. As of right now, it still stands as the best PS2 game out there.
