Like something out of a Sci-Fi/Fantasy book, this game comes along with a rather strong story.  The basic premis is that people use paticular items to do things too difficult for a regular person to do or just to make life easyer.  Unfortunetly there is a fog going across the land that turns people using these devices to become evil, or turning the devices on them (Think something out of Maximum Overdrive).  You play as three chosen who are blessed with 3 special devices that dont go crazy when the fog hits them.  The game has been out for quite a long time (I rented it when it first came out, so bare with me) but still is worth playing.  The graphics for the character's themselves are rather good for the time, each character's facial features changing visibly due to stretched animated bits over the face (similer to that in Mega Man Legends).  The battle system is something entirely different.  Each character has a set amount of actions they can take each turn, using kicks, punches, and slashes with weapons to fill these action bars.  Preforming a certen combonation of said-attacks, you can preform nasty martail arts moves and devistating special attacks.  As you raise up in levels, the bars slowly increase in size and alow for more attacks.  There is also your devices ability to absorb monstors and use their attacks and skills in the form of magic attacks, getting stronger as you use them.  The story is very interesting and keeps you into it, also the mini games are not all that bad eather.  If you can find it and got a few bucks to spare, its worth getting.
