Ok, most of you will not have a reason to play this game with the two, and much better, releases that came after it, but in case you are planning on forming a collection I will put my 2 cents in. This is the first Smackdown to hit PS2, and lets just say that the most recent has come a long way from this one. The wrestler creation is not all that much more imporved from the N64 counterparts, but keep in mind that the N64 WWF games where no slouches when it game to wrestler creation. The game has a type of career mode, though its not very good. It involves you finding out what belt you want and going after it. This usualy consists of anywhere between 1 to 3 matches in all before the completion. Competing with a belt on your hip unlocks a paticular card, and winning this mode with the same belt over and over can result in unlocking all of the many cards that will be linked to a paticular belt. The problem with this mode of play is that 99% of the time the game will asign you to go after the tag team belt, regardless if that is what you want or not. This means you have to work with another person, and if the AI for your team member is not what you like, its tough luck for you. Its a moderatly good wrestling game, though I would suggest going for the earlier ones for the N64, or even better, Shut your Mouth or Bring on the Pain, both games which fix early problems displayed in this paticular game.
