I have played a good deal of stratigies in my time, but alot of them seem to fall short.  But for some reason, this game does not disappoint me, even if it does carry a childish theme about it.  The story is kinda simple, you are the faceless-mute advisor of a small army called the Orange Star army and you must advise one of 3 (you get to chose which one you use depending on the level) CO's (commanding officers) You chose where the units go, each one being effecting against anouther type of unit (ex.  mech infantry is good against tanks and other infantry) Some levels have bases that can make units, and cities you must capture in order to fund the building of your army.  The game is rather basic, adding a few good chances to use your brain to formulate a plan on winning, but often the game starts you off with half the forces and bases as the other armies.  Each CO (including your foes) have special skills, powers, and sometimes weaknesses.  For example, Max is a good brawler, all his units have stronger direct attacks, but his falt is that his ranged units are weaker, have a shorter range, and take more damage from other ranged units.  His special attack increases his close attack power.  Unfortunately, all the other armies have weaknesses that are hard to capitalize on.  For instance, one level requires you must use lots of boat units to each the center of the map, your opponent has a far superior navy and a special skill to make them stronger, but is weak against air units...  which you are not allowed to use on that level.  Dispite all this, the game manages to have war without deminishing the value a child could get out of playing the game.  Above all else, the game is addictive, you want to keep playing just to raise your rank and make the other CO's stop taunting you.  A deffinate buy with the low price.
