This game was a great addition to my continualy growing PS2 collection, and since I got the first GTA and GTA3 so I have been waiting to get this one. In terms of graphics, it is alot more detailed then GTA3, and you can tell this early on when driving around. Cars are more detailed and people are a little better then before. Some things have been updated too: Tires that can be shot out, people who you can snipe while in they are still in the car, swat repelling from helecopters, army trucks that are actualy filled with soldiers, and cars holding anywhere from 1 too 4 people to simulate car pooling. The radio stations are very "Hair band" since the game takes place in 1986. Along with that fact, there are many references to the effects of the Reagan era, fears and hatred of the 'Commies' and introduction of video games to home systems (Rockstar North's opening runs like starting a Commador 64). As usual the Radio ads are really funny, and now they added more then one talk radio station and added the length of the radio station's tracks (more songs, more interviews, more everything). Also, as appose to GTA3's version of taking over the town by just doing missions for more advanced people, you can actualy take over the town, knock off the local barron and move in on his turf, then take over buisnesses and turn them into money makers for your own profit. Almost improving every aspect of GTA3, this game is a must have. A Warning (Because the public shows that no one seems to care about warnings on the boxes) That it is extreamly violent and has very adult language. If you are old enough to get it, or have played any GTA game, or just love to blow off steam after a horrable day without punching holes in your wall, this game is a must have. Dont rent, buy, you will not want to give it back.
