Sorry, could not help myself. No story involved in this game, just simple, good old fashioned smash fest. What makes other racing games fun usualy involves collecting the cars, tuning the cars, or the simple act of racing. This game, like the first two, involve the other factor, the crashes. There are various modes to this game. The first is a basic race, just like any other racing game, and is not much different from them either. Second is a one on one with an incredably annoying rivel who is harder to shake off then a dog who likes your leg too much. Third is the time trials, usualy involving a very fast car in a very winding track. Forth is my personal favorate, a timed (and sometimes un-timed) course where you run through a area with heavy traffic with other race cars and attempt to smash them into as many peices as physics will allow. Of corse they attempt to do the same thing to you, and the race ends after you have smashed up too many times or when the time limit is over. The fifth is how the game became famous. You have a short bit of track in which to gain speed and the object is to causes as much damage as you can by slamming into traffic, the more damage, the more money you get from damages, so causing giant pile ups where big rigs smash passenger cars into accordians is a must. Horribly addictive and a great party game, its fun to pass the controller around and see who can cause the most mayhem. The ownly downside is that most of the tracks look the same and the cars are essentialy the same car painted slightly different each time, very little variety save for maybe a fire truck or race car to break up the uniformity. Besides that, a great game that feeds a naturaly distructive urge to smash.
