When I first got this game I would have given it a 9 or a 10. It is really good at first.
But then it just starts to get frustrating. The jump in difficulty from one level to the next is sometimes extreme, with the last 2 levels in the main game being majorly difficult. I want a challenge, but I was ready to throw my controller at some points during the last two missions, and I don't do that.
Visually this game has the SW universe down. Everything looks perfect for the setting. Ships are nice and detailed, explosions look and sound like they did in the movies, very nice use of textures in areas, etc. all make for a very visually pleasing game.
The sound is dead on from the movies, with the exception of the MIDI music in some parts, and impersonators for Luke, Lando, Darth Vader, and Admiral Ackbar. Other areas have actual movie sounds for voices, such as Han Solo, and Princess Leia (in the few levels you hear them).
Gameplay is good, but not a lot has changed or been added from the original Rogue Squadron or Battle for Naboo. If you aren't patient, it can get tiring.
All in all the extras are what give this game replay value. Opening secret ships, and levels, is what will draw you back...even if trying to get golds will sometimes frustrate the hell out of you (especially missing it by 1 enemy, 1 second, or 1% accuracy).
I reccomend at least renting the game, and if you are a big SW fan, go ahead and buy it, you won't be dissapointed. All in all it's the best SW game I've played on a console to date...now if only Sega would release their Star Wars Acrade game to a console....that would be sweet.
