Wow. This game is good. Insanely hard at times, but good.
The mix of Disney characters with Squaresoft's own Final Fantasy universe characters is really a great consept. And, surprisingly, it's pulled off very well.
There's a lot of great graphics in this game, as all the FF characters, and the Disney characters look fantastic. Backgrounds, for the most part, are also really nicely done.
One of the biggest things that surprised me was the difficulty of this game. I pretty much expected this to be a walk in the park--since I thought it was aimed at younger gamers. Boy, was I ever wrong. You really need to build up your skills and learn how to fight to really get through this game.
About the only major gripe I have is the camera. It's a bit off sometimes, and having to use the L2 and R2 buttons to move it is a hassle. Squaresoft really should have had the right analog stick control the camera. Also, I'm a bit dissapointed that there's an awful lot of dialogue between your main characters that isn't voice acted. The scenes with the voice acting are great, and then having to read text when your party talks to each other really becomes a downer.
All in all, put your thoughts of a kiddie game away. This game is a challenge and a half to get through.
