This is what's called a story?
The actual game was very solid. Good battle system, nice world to explore, and very pretty (with the notable exception of the low-poly super-deformed models; eck). The scripting was sloppy, however, with no attempt at punctuation or good dialogue. The plot was tiresome when it wasn't being painfully absurd. "We gotta save the Planet!" is not a rallying cry I was able to find gvery appealing, as pseudo-mystical environmentalism doesn't do it for me in a videogame. The characters were unimpressive, with the exception of Sephiroth, who just eventually became weird (they were all clones anyway...).
In short, as a game it was great; but the story made the last ten hours of this game very bland for me.
