mmmm.... gameplay was alright. It had some interesting new items and the card game was a cool bonus. But the storyline and charecters were just... not all that great. Plus the leveling system is not like it should be, you dont actually gain levels, or get experience (in a way you do i guess, but not in the classic way) plus they eliminated magic points and you need to find things to make your magic with (sort of like ingredients like SNES's Secret of Evermore)
overall a decent game but FF7 and 9 are much more worth your money unless your just a 100% crazed fan of the series and love the games (which I do, thats why i own it :))
