Well, as a long-time Indiana Jones fan, I decided to pick this game up for rental as the reviews were so-so. Ive never really enjoyed the console or PC Indy games (accept the old Atlantis game..hehe) but this game shaped up pretty well.
The gameplay is pretty darn cool. You can use various tools and weapons to destroy your opponents, which sometimes becomes a hastle when you only have a whip and three guys have shotguns, but hey, just run around and whip the crap out of them. Some of the jumps and puzzles can be kinda frustrating. I must have jumped this gash a million times and finally made it, needless to say, it can get hard.
The graphics are decent, I would expect a bit better on the xbox, but oh well. The sounds are classic Indy! The voiceovers sound so much like Ford that its crazy. The music gets you feeling adventurous and in the mood to treasure hunt and beat people up.
I mean, I beat the game in one rental, and there really arent that many special extras worth playing through again. This game isnt horrible, its just average at best. Its a fun game for Indy fans, or fans of Tomb Raider looking for a solid game. I suggest renting it unless you can find it for cheap somewhere, in which case tell me so I can pick it up for my collection..heheh!
