This is a great game. The storyline isn't brilliant, but certainly passable. It looks excellent for it's time, and the sounds are also great. The main two things that are good about the game (and one bad) are the structures, which are massive; really really big, and the glide button, which lets you continue in the direction you are travelling, but able to turn your ship around in midflight. This is great for the purposes of realism, since that's exactly what you would be able to do in space. The bad thing that I mentioned, is the amount of time you will spend gambling, once you get to the casino space-station. I gambled for a very long time so I could afford the new ship that was offered. It was really frustrating, but I got totally addicted and couldn't stop.
Summary: Probably the best space-shooter since X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter.
Graphics: 8 (nice, but a bit jaggy in places)
Sound: 9 (very good sounds)
Gameplay: 10 (big, hard, good missions, good controls)
Longevity: 10 (big, hard, good replayability: two different factions)
