This is what futuristic racing is all about! It is so fast it really is silly, and I like the way in which the weapons/shield recharge system works. It is certainaly a better system than the one that Wipeout Fusion (or any other Wipeout game for that matter) uses, and i must say that the weapons, despite what anyone else might say work really well. They are not so powerful as to become the sole deciding factor in a race, instead used to give you the edge over your also ridiculously fast opponents. My only real gripe with this game is that it is too arcadey. You always start in last, irrespective of what position you finished in the last race. The opponents get better as you proceed through the game (i.e they are slower than you to begin with, then faster later on, and I'm talking about physical spped here, not skill), and last but not least, YOU have to qualify with a certain amount of money, but seemingly noone else in the game has to. Interesting... It must be said, however, that this is a complaint that could be levelled against every single futuristic racer that I've ever played, so hey this is the best of the bunch.
