I played this game, and I must say that along with a few others, I'm really not as impressed with this as I was of the first game. The Bonus SR1 opening movie done with the PS2 power totally rocks if you played the first game, with Raziel's wings looking so cool until Kain rips them out. In regards to the game itself, I didn't like the Soul Reaver to be perfectly honest, I'd have rathered that it only worked by possessing whatever weaopn you were carrying and subverting it to a cool new one. The sentient blade thing wasn't anywhere near as good as it could have been. The puzzles as well, were really annoying, with absolutely no indication of what direction you need to go to get to the place you need to go to(which is handily highlighted on the map). You seem to not actually get into any fights with Bosses either, which is also a shame. On the plus side, after playing BO2, it seems like the game was created from a Godly graphics engine, and is very pleasant indeed.
Summary: Not quite the complete package I was hoping for, it's lesser than SR1 and BO, but greater than BO2.
Graphics: 9 (Iwas close to giving them a 10, but after a while you start to see that they're pretty lacklustre at times, as well as being a bit glitchy, and there being no different models for bad guys, it's just down to the weapons they're carrying)
Sound: 10 (Excellent, supremely atmospheric, with good choppy-choppy noises)
Gameplay: 8 (get's a trifle irritating with the open-ended puzzles. Tries too hard to be non-linear, when in it's essence that's exactly what it is.)
Longevity: 7 (I doubt I'll play it again, there's no reason to, quite apart from anything else)
