Certainly what I did not expect. I am a little disappointed in this title. I haven't played very far into the game, but I can see it aonly too clearly.. this is only an interactive cartoon. You don't control Mickey directly, nor can you tell him to go anywhere you please.
You use your analog control stick to move a pointer around, which you can click only on certain thing - very frustrating. I had so much more in mind for this title. I haven't even encountered a single enemy, besides the games' main antagonist.
Now for the good news. This game is great for little kids, especially those new to the gaming scene. Every little kid likes Mickey, and here he is in his very own adventure. For the very young children you can insert a controller in the second port and guide their cursor along for them (you can't click on anything.. only they can) And the game even has a "Kids" mode that is basically a mode where the game plays itself if the child is too young to do anything.. or is stumped.. this mode lasts about an hour.. making babysitting a breeze! :D
So for the kids, I give it an 8.. A fun adventure, guiding everyone's favorite mouse around in a haunted castle.
For the older players looking for a real game, though, try Super Mario Sunshine instead!
