I finished this game last night, and this game failed to impress me as it played out too much like a KO of a Tomb Raider game. Imagine Lara Croft vs. the Nazis Indiana Jones-style, and you have Bloodrayne. There's still hunting for artifacts to get before evil can, just like in a TR game. This game isn't bad, but it suffers from such an over-whelming lack of any originality, which makes it mediocre at best.
Rayne herself is a joke because she doesn't even remotely fit in to her 1940's time placement and gives you the impression that vampires must have hidden time machines somewhere as she often visits future Goth leather S&M stores for attire for fighting Nazis in.
If you're a die-hard TR fan who's bored out of your skull with waiting for the next TR game to come out (whenever that is), then I'd recommend this as fodder to pass the time; otherwise it's dull, unoriginal, and not worth dropping $50 on.
