Wanna see what a game looks like with an apparent lack of any budget to make it? Play this horrible POS.
It's story is messed up because it tries a little too hard to weave together the seven different characters, and the battle system is a joke. It's difficult to tell your HP, and gaining abilities is a big exercise in agitation. The world map is the lamest one ever. Most first-gen Playtstation RPG's have better maps than this. It's so plain it's ridiculous. So to make up for being cheap, they tried to pass off the cheapness as "artistic," which is a joke when you see it. There are no towns or anything to explore. Only a picture of towns with icons to call up menu screens to buy/trade stuff, talk, whatever. The same with the map, as you skip along icons on the thing they'd like to call a map. No room to really move on your own at all, and you're just jumping from one location icon to another. The soundtrack is decent. Far from great, but still not bad.
Glad I only rented it, because I'd be more than upset if I had spent $50 on this waste of disc space.
