This game is the pinacle of 3D platformers. It literally doesn't get better than this. We'll see what Rare have in store for Xbox, but even Tooie couldn't top this masterpiece. The puzzles are solid, the attention to detail is a Rare trademark, the sound, the graphics, the control, everything. I literally have no idea why no one but Rare and Nintendo have been able to pull off a decent 3D platformer, but no one seems to understand what makes Banjo-Kazooie enjoyable: the things I mentioned above, plus bright colorful graphics (companies seem to think that worlds should be enshrouded in blackness -- what's up with that?), great gameplay, monsters that are interesting and unique but easy enough not to be frustrating, etc. Anyway, this game is as good as it gets, and I pray that Rare continues to do things right and makes me eat those words.
