Madden NFL 2002 is one of the deepest football games you will ever find. Almost everything you can think of is customizable, from the player statistics to the A.I. sliders in the options menu. The gameplay is momentum-based and gives the game a decidely simulation-like quality. While not utilizing the power of the Xbox, Madden 2002 does look very nice with plenty of animations and graphical details to be found. The commentary is probably the game's biggest weak point. Madden just seems to drone on and on adding zero excitement to the game. Overall, Madden NFL 2002 is a highly polished game that will give sim fans more than their money's worth.
