I purchased this game along with my Gamecube. Having only one game for a system, as we all know, can suck... but let me say that Star Wars: Rogue Leader was all I needed to keep me busy for weeks until I purchased my next game.
The graphics were beautiful and true to the movie franchise. Expolisions were large and realistic and the utter confusion that you feel when a squadron of TIE Fighters zip right by you is exhilirating.
The missions that mirrored events in the movies were detailed, accurate and fun. I mean, how great is it to pilot Luke Skywalker's X-Wing while trying to fire a photon torpedo inside the Death Star, without radar, and Darth Vader on your tail. Or flying around the insides of the DeathStar trying to destroy it (again) and protect Lando in the Millenium Falcon.
With that said though I will tell you why I didn't give this game a 9 or a 10... some of those missions (protecting Lando being one of them) were just too damn hard. I played that game to death and was only able to get a couple of gold medals on a couple of the easier levels. I really think they could have been a bit more realistic with the goals and added a bit more replay value.
Overall though you can't really go wrong with this game... just make sure you're in a super relaxed mood when you go for those gold medals!
