This game is a rare gem that hearkens back to the old days of RPGs.  When, believe it or not, most games were first person and the game did not involve endless clicking on hordes of enemies.

The best feature of this game has to be the interface.  It is extremely intuitive and everything includes in game help.  No more fumbling through the manual to find out what a skill does or controls, it's all right in the game.  The combat system is simple and elegant while leaving plenty of room for strategy.  The part formation adds greatly to the combat keeping it from becoming too simple.

The graphics are good, but not great.  But that's understandable when you realize the trouble sir-tech went through to get the game published, it sat for quite a while before it was finally realeased leaving it with a bit of a dated look.  Still, for a company that has never created a 3d game before it is a good accomplishment.

The sound is good.  The combat sounds are fairly generic, the music is appropriate.  Where the sound really shines is in your parties voices.  For each character you can choose a personality type and voice type, complete with cheesy accents!  This adds a great deal to your characters, and makes you relate to them quite a bit more.

The game itself has a very old school feel.  Appropriate considering the roots of the game.  Fans of Bard's Tale, older Wizardry titles, Gold Box D&D, or Dungeon Master titles will be right at home here.  Characters don't have just 3 or 4 skills and a couple of character classes in this game.  There is a dizzying array of options to develop your character, leaving this game with a better replay value than most RPGs.

I've played all the Wizardry games from 1 up, and this fits nicely in the series.  A wonderful end to a truly classic PC RPG series!
