This is one of my favorite games ever! The graphics are never less than spectacular. The story is very well done. The voice acting is as good as you'll find and the characters are lipsynced better than in any other game i've seen. The atmosphere is absolutely great. If you've read some of the Forgotten Realms books You will LOVE this game. It was great to see the monsters and areas described in books like the Icewind Dale Trilogy so artfull recreated.
The battle system is fast and always fun. There are tons of weapons and armor. The difference in gameplay between the dwarve(melee fighting), ranger(ranged weapons), and sorceress(magic), is significant enough to merit palying the game 3 times to experience it with each. I am playing it for the second time and trust me it really does hold up well. Not only does this game have one of the BEST finishes ever but their is an outstanding setup to what will surely be a sequel. And I don't want to spoil it but there is a very cool extra(s) at the end, especially if you're familiar with a certain dark elf known to frequent areas near Baldur's Gate;) GET THIS GAME!!!
