I really wanted to like this game. I played Warriors of Might and Magic recently and enjoyed it so I figured if R:VW was the same type of game only with vikings it would be fun. Oh how I long for those heady days of WOMM! This game is poor from the start. The graphics would look bad on the Dreamcast for starters. Be prepared to squint ALOT since the environments are almost all very dark and you will many times run into walls while runnig around. The sound and dark environments do make for a somewhat creepy feel to the game which is nice. The combat is boring and surprisingly somewhat sparse. Don't expect any customization or leveling up either. I was expecting a lot of cool monsters but there are very few and most just plain suck. Oooh another skeleton how exciting! What there is is a lot of Tomb Raider type switch pulling puzzles that are redundant and boring. I live about 6 miles from where the REAL viking runestone was found and as much as I wanted to I couldn't enjoy this game. Make sure you RENT before buying!!!
