Virtua Fighter 4 is a great fighting game in which anyone interested at the least bit in fighting games should play!
The controls are simple, and the moves become easy to pull off with a little bit of practice. A beginner can easily pick up the controls fast.
In the game, theres no story. But if you read the instruction booklet, they give character backrounds, their nothing much.
The graphics are amazing! The helicopter stage is incredible with its lighting effects. Most stages have incredible backrounds (one there is a thunder storm in the back and lighting stikes are blows up nearby structures), and some stages you play in water or snow.
The sound and music is ok. I really like the underwater stages music.
The characters are interesting. You got the extremely strong guys, the weaker but faster guys, the ninja, the cute chick whos good at doing flips and kicks, and the ugly annoying chick who blocks all you punches. And many more!
If the game only had arcade and v.s. mode, it would get really boring really fast......but it doesnt, it has more.
First you create your own character name for your favorite character. Then you fight in kumite mode to get a better rank, or you can lose one. Kumite mode gives endless matches, so the replay value in the game is HUGE! Plus you can master all the characters, which would take a long time.
If your lazy and dont want to fight, you still have an option. You can train an AI and have him fight for you!
A great game, but mainly because of all the different moves and characters, and the kumite mode.
8/10, worth buying for any fighting game fan, and for those even remotly interested in fighting games.
