4.5 hours into Starfox Adventures, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly.
Graphics are about the best I've ever seen on a console to date. Very detailed, with only minor hiccups in framerate here and then. Animation and especially the detailed fur add ot the overall look of the game.
Sound is phenomenal. Voice acting is superb, moreso than any game I've played in recent memory. It's not quite serious, but not quite goofy. It fits the overall story, characters and game very well.
The puzzles and story are also very well done. The battle system is very similar to the N64 Zelda series, and is a lot of fun once you get combos and moves down.
A few minor (or major, depending on your viewpoint) gripes though. So far the story is very well done, but very linear. The game also seems on the easy side, probably a 10-15 hour game for normal players.
My main complaint is that they could have used any character in this game. So it doesn't really feel like a "Starfox" game. The space battles seem kind of tacked on so far, as if they added them to maintain some sort of continuity between the original Starfox games and this one.
All in all, it's a fantastic game, but don't expect a shooter like Starfox for SNES and N64. This is an adventure game, through and through. Much more like the N64 Zelda series than any of it's Starfox predecessors.
