Talk about a darkhorse. Blast Corps from Rare was one of the earliest games for the N64 and one of the best. And gosh what corny music, but I loved it-the game and the music. The concept is truly intriguing. Clear a path for the nuclear device being transported very deliberately on wheels to some unknown destination. And how do you make a path . You destroy things by golly using bulldozers, cars, futuristic robots, just to name a few. Plus there are many min-games throughout which have nothing to do with destruction; just make sure you know how to find the shortcuts or you'll never get gold on the races. This is not an easy game by any means. As you progress from bronze to silver through to gold and platinum ( by the way, platinum was beyond my reach ) your grey matter gets a workout trying to figure out what the train, the boat, the dump truck, and the hot rod have to do with successfully completing certain stages. Great graphics too, and outstanding value. Save the world from nuclear destruction and we'll send you to the moon to do some further destruction. Amazing value with many stages. A bonafide classic which few know about. Pity.
