In all, even newbies to flight sims can beat this game in a day. JS is fast paced and the action can get hairy at times. The targeting system is excellent and it needs to be. The dogfighting is tuff in this game. The Saboath fighters can fly cirlces around you, even in the Jedi Starfighter. The dogfighting is especially problematic in space. One very useful feature that would've made this game really fun was omitted: a Radar system. Rogue Squadron(for PC's at least) had one and you were never caught off guard by swarming TIE fighters and you could always identify friends and foes without having to "target" them. On the other hand, the long-range of all the craft, plus the zoom-in feature gives you an incredible tactical advantage but still doesnt compensate enough for a lack of radar. Personally, I think the Jedi Starfighter is still, pound for pound, the best fighter. The other ships you can use have MUCH more weaponry, but the abilities to throw lightning, shockwaves, produce an extra "force" field and being able to slow time using force reflex, you can't go wrong. The missions were fun and challenging but it would have been nice if you could actually cover more area. All the planetary missions were very confined with no scenery.
