Rainbow Studios is once again been brought in to head up development. The biggest addition to the franchise is the online component. Sony currently plans to split the servers into two separate entities, one for modem users and one for broadband owners. This should keep the competition balanced without gamers worrying about ping rates.
Also available are both first and third person perspectives. If you choose to ride in first person, the view pulls back when you execute a trick and zooms back in once it has been completed.
While PS2 doesn't currently have a hard drive to store music tracks, this title gives the next best alternative. Using the jukebox function, you can create your own soundtrack from the songs provided and remove the ones that don't appeal to you.
A total of seven race modes are planned and we really like the look of the Pro Career. Five separate portions are available including Enduro, Supercross and Freestyle Stunt.
