Since it was announced for the N64, Eternal Darkness catch my attention. Not only because i'm a "horror" games fan, but because it promise to be different. Well, i was not dissapoint. The game is great, controls are excelent, the graphics good, the sound superb, and the story is very well conducted. While some expect a "scary" game, this is in reality a "suspense" game, where you will face terrors que eventually you wiill not be able to say if they are real o just a product of your head. This is because of the "insanity effects", a serie of events that take place when your character is beginning to lose this sanity, by fighting whit foes, such as lose your head, see the wall bleeding, transform into a zombie, or even that que TV screen turns off.
The graphic department is mixed, while the game run at 60 fps locked whit not noticeable slowdowns, there is not much detail in some areas, and some parts and characters dont look like a next generation game (maybe because of their N64 origins).
Sound is great, and the music puts you in the scene, while the dialogues are very well acted, and some of them just can get spooky.
Finaly, i found this game enjoable enougn to replay it again, once you have conquered the three "aligments".
