If you can get this cheap (which was pretty hard for me), then along with Trials of the Luremaster, this is a fairly decent add on.
It just adds a little bit of everything. A couple of extra areas, more spells, more portraits, more sounds, more enemies, etc.
It does, interestingly, improve the AI of the monsters in many parts of the game.
If you haven't played IWD yet then get it with Heart of Winter. If you have, then it's worth it if you can get HoW cheap.
