Overall: 5/5
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater has been one of the few recent classics released by one other the "other" publishers (as in not Nintendo, Square, Capcom, Sega, etc.). THPS2 expanded on the first game tenfold and was by far an amazing game that I probably played for well over 100 hours over the last 9 months or so I've had it. You may be asking can THPS3 be much better than the first two? Well it is! Everything is so much better. For one thing the game has the graphical power of the PS2 behind it and it shows. The subtle animations like the skater falling, trying to maintain ballance on a grind, or doing a flatland trick are just stupendous. The gameplay is much better with objective based tasks rather than just find this and then get all of the money like THPS2. And the levels are huge. At first I didn't think so, but after I went back and played THPS2 one time I was surprised how small the THPS2 levels seemed. The new move the revert makes a million point combo attainable. The unlockable secrets are just too many to list, but I'll give a few hints; Ollie (not the trick), Warehouse, Darth, Wolvie, Aliens. I don't know what else to say but to tell everyone to go and buy this game, NOW! It is simply one of the best games ever.
