This is one of the best compilations EVAR.  To get three, well..  arguably two (won't acknowledge PS3) of the greatest classic RPGs on one cart is sooo worth the money.

Phantasy Star is a port of the Sega Master System game from 1988 or so that features the adventures of Alis, who joins up with some buddies to avenge her brother by killing an evil Lassic dude.  The fighting system is innovative for its time, and the graphics are quite far above any other late 80s game.  Gameplay's kinda tedious, though.  For the first hour and a half or so you'll find yourself fighting one or two battles then going back to heal up for free due to the monsters being STUPID STRONG.  It's only safe to go to the next town when you're, like, level freakin' 6.

In Phantasy Star 2, Rolf and Nei set out to investigate why monsters have begun to roam all over Motavia.  I must say the graphics are pretty good, with anime-like frames during cut-scenes or in stores.  Haven't gotten much into this game, but this is the sole reason why I got Phantasy Star Collection.  Many people argue it's better than PS4, and I intend to find that out for myself.

Phantasy Star 3, well, it's just bleagh.  It's ok though, since the Genesis version was bleagh as well.  Just read someone's other comment about this, I don't feel like remembering this game.  ;/

I must say that THQ gets a failing grade on this compilation, for they didn't properly and thoroughly test it before releasing it.  At times when one tries to save on Phantasy Star 1, the screen will go blue, locking the game up and NOT saving the data.  I have been to a message board and this has happened to several others.  Too bad I lost my receipt.  Oh well, I have to deal with the blue screen of death, even on a GBA.
