When the N64 launched, Nintendo did what no one thought was possible; they brought Mario into the next dimension. From 2D to 3D the transition was seamless for the plumbing mascot of Nintendo. SM64 was bigger, badder and unlike anything that had come before it. SM64 was so revolutionary, it spawned title after title of games that tried to replicate and emulate the magic that Nintendo had captured with its latest Mario installment. SM64 had it all; great graphics, solid controls and a massive goal of a 120 stars to capture. It also had something you couldn't put your finger on, that magic dust that Nintendo sprinkles on all their games that gives them that special something that few producers and publishers can match. When it was all added up, you had 3D perfection that up to that point, the world had never seen. If you have never played this game and own and N64, shame on you, you are missing out on one of the true classics of video gaming. Right now all across America this gem is sitting in discount bins waiting to be enjoyed one more time. If you buy it, you won't come away disappointed.
