I don' know or care what other people say, this game has LOADS of replay value. This game is one out of just two games that I have beaten countless times and never got bored of it (the other is Link to the Past for SNES).
That aside, you shouldn't pass this game up-it'll blow you away with it's gorgeous cinemas and wonderful battle system. The storyline isn't the best, but it's enough to keep you coming back. Diverse destinations let you see the whole of Manhattan, with true to form architecture. Baddies range from mutant sewer rats to 50-foot tall earthworms to green jello-ghosts. They may sound kiddish, but once you pick it up, you'll see why it's rated M.
If there is one thing wrong with it, it may be that it is too short (with times ranging 8 to 10 hours). But beat it once and you'll unlock a whole new building to explore-the Chrysler Building. Randomly generated floors may sound cool and appeal to old-school gamers who ever played Tower of Druaga, but it is very easy to get lost, since it all looks the same. But if you can manage to make it to the top floor, you'll battle the "real" game boss. Beat him and you get a super-cool cinema that is well worth your time.
In the end, this game is not the most superb ever-FF VII it ain't. But it will at least deliver you a good time worthy of your money.
