The fact that i loved the first bust-a-groove so much made me have to buy this sequel.
However...what i loved most about the first bust-a-groove (the music) wasn't nearly as good in the second. The english translations for a lot of the songs were just terrible. Some of these songs weren't even all that great in japanese, why keep them for the american version?
The characters got a make over, and a couple of the new ones were interesting. Most notably, Bio. Sadly, Gas-O is gone...but Bio is his dad, if that makes any sense.
The attack reversals really add something to the game, but i'm usually too busy outscoring my opponent to try and attack em. Attacks just eat up my precious dancing time for scoring points.
All in all, this bust-a-groove is a great game, just not nearly as good as it's predecessor. Still, if you liked the first one, you'll like this one.
