True Crime: Streets of LA could be a great game. I won't compare it to Vice City because they're two different games. There is room in this world for both. I really enjoy the gameplay in true crime. It allows a lot of freedom while still giving direction and story. I said the game could be a great one. The gameplay is great but the execution is poor. The game is very buggy and many of the bugs affect gameplay. I was supposed to catch a criminal. I went to the location reported by the crime alert and shown on the radar. The criminal was not there. I couldn't catch him thus lowing my stats. Also I was driving on the freeway I slammed into the wall flying through the air. I survived the crash landing but was stuck in an area I couldn't get out of. I kept driving around this area below the freeway looking for a way, any way, to get back onto the streets. There wasn't any. I drove into a freeway support column and was launched back onto the freeway. Great a way back into the playing field, right? Wrong. The game froze and I needed to reboot. This has happened to me many times. Also I'm not even going to talk about the number of graphics and collision bugs. Any QA tester should have found these and they are easy and cheap to fix. Clean up the slop. Bottom line, I enjoy the game but wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
