This is a great game. A perfect port of the SNES classic that seems to have been made for the GBA's tiny screen. The colours are bright enough that you can play it in less light than most GBA games. The lower resolution of the GBA screen doesn't affect gameplay and even if you've played the original to death you won't notice it. Unlike the original you can save at any time on the world map so quick games are possible (a necessity for the on-the-go GBA owner) The major changes are the addition of the Mario Bros. classic arcade game which is acceptable since you can play it over the link cable with SMA1 and SMA3 owners as well. Within the game you can now choose to play as luigi as well. You'd generally want to avoid him since he's more floaty and hard to control (but can jump higher)... I guess it provides an additional challenge to go back and pass the levels as luigi. This brings me to the best new addition: the new status screen. This tells you which levels you have discovered/completed/found dragon coins for, as well as the total time taken. Very useful for extra replay value since you can try to beat your best time, or pass all the levels and all the secrets with both Mario and luigi. Anyway, in my opinion this is a top 3 GBA title and a must-get if you at all liked (or [heaven forbid!] didn't play) the orinal SNES one.
