I am kind of indignant, because reading all the reviews makes me not want to get this game so I waited for the bargain bin (which it indeed hit with the "platinum hits" arrival). I shouldn't have, though, I missed out for so long. Please read on for my reasons.
First of all, this is NOT a "bad" game in the sense of Pulse Racer or Kabuki Warriors (some reviews make it sound like it is).
BAD:
A lot of reviews focus on the graphics, but in-game they are definitely better than N64 and the reflections off of Obi are actually kind of nice (since it came out close to launch it was unfairly compared to the god-like Halo and DOA3).
There are camera issues, but not worse than many other 3D 3rd person action games.
Obi-wan's voice-over is simply wrong and sounds nothing like the episode 1/2 obiwan. You'd think they'd have tried harder on that, but after the first couple of "woah, that's weird", it's not an issue. The other voice-acting is actually nice.
The cut-scene graphics are unnecessarily unpleasant and Yoda has the ugliest imaginable texture stamped on him. It's not a big deal. If you want an interactive movie buy dragon's lair 3d or space ace or that crap.
GOOD:
The gameplay is exactly what you'd expect looking at the box and is fun.
It is pure star wars, great force use.
Great music and sound
Fun (but not deep) 2-player saber/force battle
Overall: As you can see, the "bads" seem to be more numerous than the "goods", but that's what everyone seems to focus on. This is more than a sum of its parts and is a must have for any xbox starwars fan.
