Grand Theft Auto VC takes Grand Theft Auto III's open ended gameplay, adds a lot of speech to give it a real story and not just the missions from GTA3 and then mixes it all perfectly with missions that will keep you playing until 3:00 am.
First of all the game relies more heavily on the storyline this time around, the character, Tommy Vercetti actually has a voice and you actually get to hear him think, which adds a lot to gameplay. Besides missions aren't just about killing everybody, in one mission you are finding people for the leading role of a movie, but as the agent of one of the stars you find escapes in a car you go behind him and try to kill him. All the missions are different and veeeery deep, which makes the storyline really intresting.
Graphically this game doesn't improve much from the last GTA (GTA3), but there are some improvements, mainly more detail on the cars and on the characters, I don't know how to explain it, you would have to see it in motion. There's a very weird effect of shadows which you can disable in the options menu, but I guess it adds to the 80s feeling, besides, once you start playing with it, you will feel it hard to play without it... weird.
The soundtrack is great, I don't know any of the songs that appear in the game (I was 3 years old when the game takes place) but the commercials, and the two talk stations are really good, just as good as chatterbox. Sometimes I just get in a car or bike and go to the beach to hear K Chat, which is my favorite station.
This game is a must buy and anyone who does not agree with me is mentally sick, and should be shot I'm afraid to say. (By the way, if you listened to VCPR you would understand find this 10 times funnier)
